This
beautiful Caribbean home is situated in its own private
1 hectare (2.5 acre) tropical gardens with the sea view
and spectacular sunsets over Plum Bay all year long.
|
| The
private landscaped remote-controlled entryway leads to the
tree and flower lined drive along the garden up to the villa.
Set high and deep in the center of the extensive gardens,
this unique villa is one of few homes in the French Lowlands
that sits alone behind the entrance gate, offering total
privacy and quiet. The fresh breeze off the Caribbean makes
it very pleasant to sit outside at any hour. |

Sugaree
is elegantly furnished inside with comfortable and stylish
European and American furnishings. The flat-screen TV
with Canal+ satellite is integrated into an excellent
stereo system with a DVD player and an iPod dock to bring
your favorite tunes, or choose from the small audio/video
library. |
There is an Internet telephone for unlimited U.S. and France
calling, and a French-side phone for local inquiries and
other international credit card calls. |
|
|
There
is a well equipped kitchen and a dining room if you choose
to dine in or hire one of the island’s fantastic
French chefs to create a romantic dinner for two, or a
lively dinner party with family and friends.
Casual outdoor seating and dining areas overlook the garden
and pool, with the sea and sunsets beyond. The gazebo
is a beautiful spot to relax and dine al fresco. |
| There
is a master bedroom with a private bath on one side of the
living room, and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the opposite
side of the villa, all with air-conditioning. |
|
|
Top-quality
designer Egyptian cotton oversized towels and bedding add
to the overall feeling of comfort and luxury. |
| Sugaree
is short walk to the quiet serenity of Plum Bay beach, called
by many visitors the finest beach on Saint Martin. |
|
|
From the villa’s comfortable relaxing and dining spots,
you can hear the waves at Baie Rouge; a lovely beach also
very close by that has chaise and umbrellas available, and
two casual beach restaurants. |
| Terres
Basses is a centrally located spot from which to explore
all the wonderful things Saint Martin/Sint Maarten has to
offer. It is a 5 minute drive to the Dutch side where you
can find casino’s and many choices for great dining
and nightlife. |
|
|
Marigot,
with its great shopping and restaurants at the Marina and
throughout the town, is a 10 minute ride in the other direction.
A little further up the main road is Grand Case, considered
to be the gourmet capitol of the Caribbean. |
|
Phillipsburg is a famous port-of-call for many cruise ships
because the shopping district offers a great selection of
duty-free luxury goods at excellent prices. Terres Basses
is also very convenient to the airport; you can be settled
in quickly after your flight, having a refreshing swim in
the crystal-clear concrete pool shortly after leaving the
airport. |
|
|
For
outdoor activity, there are more than 23 distinct beaches
on the island, each with its own flair and character. Whether
you prefer surfing, jet-ski and kite skiing and the like,
fine or casual dining and lounging at the water’s
edge, or long walks and relaxation on out-of-the-way beaches,
there is a beach that fits your every desired activity. |
| Pic
Paradis, the highest point on the island is a park that
offers lovely hiking trails up to the spectacular 360 degree
panoramic views of St. Martin, as well as the many neighboring
islands. |
|
|
The
treetop adventure ride, a very popular attraction, can be
found in that area as well. There are several historical
and entertaining attractions on St. Martin and many different
water excursions for fishing, diving, snorkeling, or day-trips
to Anguilla, St. Barts and the other neighboring islands.
